Learn to be safe with these safety thoughts

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

1. Countless accidents happen to people who don?ft wear eye protection. Everything from dust, splinters, dirt, and other debris can enter the eye and cause untold amounts of damage. A pair of certified safety glasses costs around 5 dollars. How much is your eye sight worth?

2. Using the right tool for the job is another big one. How many times have you watched people open paint cans with a knife? There is a tool to unlock paint cans and you can find it in the same place where you purchase paint. This can usually be taken for free when buying paint. Or how about a weed eater? Have you ever seen people trying to mow small tress with them?

3. You should always look over your tools for damage before using them. A little break in a cord can lead to electrocution. If your power drill had been wet at anytime, it is possible for it to overload, catch fire, or cause electrocution.

4. Never neglect using the safety protection that is provided with your tools. Most jig saws have a guard in front of the blade in case your fingers accidently slip. If you are fixing weedeater parts, be careful to replace the guards back properly to prevent stuff from flying up in your face.

A concrete saw is a piece of equipment that is used to cut through materials such as brick, tile, masonry, concrete and other solid materials. There are many different types of saws, such as reciprocating saws or jig saws, and concrete saws may be powered by gasoline, hydraulics or electricity. Concrete saws may also be in the form of hand saws or walk behind saws. The type of saw that is used will depend on the job at hand.
